Remarks with Republicans: A Conversation with Senator Jil Tracy
For this episode of Remarks with Republicans, I had the opportunity to sit down with Illinois State Senator Jil Tracy for a conversation about public service, leadership, and her experience representing western Illinois.
Senator Tracy represents Illinois’ 50th Senate District and has spent years serving communities throughout our part of the state. During our conversation, we talked about what first led her to public service and some of the experiences that have shaped her time in Springfield.
We also discussed the realities of serving in the Illinois General Assembly, the issues she hears about from people throughout the 50th District, and the importance of staying connected to the communities she represents.
One of the reasons I started Remarks with Republicans was to give people an opportunity to get to know the individuals involved in Republican leadership beyond a name on a ballot or a headline. These conversations are a chance to hear about their backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives in a more relaxed setting.
