For this episode of Remarks with Republicans, we sat down with Illinois State Representative Kyle Moore of the 99th District.

Representative Moore is no stranger to public service. Before joining the Illinois House, he served on the Quincy City Council and was elected Mayor of Quincy in 2013, serving two terms. His background also includes experience in business and economic development before he was elected to the Illinois General Assembly in November 2024.

During our conversation, we had the opportunity to learn more about the person behind the title — what first led him to public service, his transition from local government to the Illinois General Assembly, and what his experience has been like representing western Illinois in Springfield.

We also talked about the issues he is hearing about from the people he represents, the challenges facing communities throughout our part of the state, and what he has learned during his time in public office.

One of the reasons we started Remarks with Republicans was to give people an opportunity to hear directly from Republican leaders throughout Illinois in a more conversational setting. These interviews aren't just about titles and politics — they're a chance to learn about the people serving our communities, what brought them to public service, and the experiences that have shaped them along the way.

Thank you to Representative Kyle Moore for taking the time to sit down with us and be part of Remarks with Republicans.
