It was a wonderful evening on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, as more than 150 guests gathered for the Hancock County Republican Fall Banquet. The event brought together state and local candidates, community members, and supporters for an evening of fellowship, great food, and inspiring conversation.

Chairwoman Audrey Hall opened the night by welcoming everyone and inviting candidates to share their remarks. Among those who spoke were County Board candidates Tom Rogers, Michelle Merritt, Leanne Lambert, Harry Douglas, and Wayne Bollin, as well as Sheriff candidates Josh Smith and Jordan Hawes and Treasurer candidate Shannon Kissinger.

The audience also heard from Josh Higgins, announcing his run for State Representative, and Ted Dabrowski, candidate for Governor, who delivered a passionate keynote address about Illinois’ future. Other candidates in attendance included Dillon Vancil (Congress, 17th District), Brad Beekman (State Senate), and Bryan Drew (State Comptroller).

County Board Chairman Mark Menn and Finance Chair Wayne Bollin provided updates on county projects and fiscal priorities, highlighting the dedication of local leadership to transparency and responsible governance.

Dinner, catered by Sly Fox, was a highlight of the evening—delicious and plentiful. The event was filled with laughter, discussion, and a shared commitment to the values that unite Hancock County Republicans.

It was truly a night that celebrated community, service, and the strength of grassroots leadership in our county.
